What forms of payment does The Salon Thing accept?
The Salon Thing accepts Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard and American Express, as well as payment by cheque or bank transfer.
Full payment is taken immediately for orders placed online. If you place an order over the phone we can take a minimum deposit of 30% and the balance is to be cleared before delivery.
Any information you provide to The Salon Thing, including credit card information, is encrypted on our secure server (or that of our payment handler SagePay) using SSL. The encryption process converts the information you enter into bits of code that are then securely transmitted over the Internet. Therefore, you can be assured that shopping online with The Salon Thing is a hassle-free experience and one that is completely secure and protected against fraud or similar concerns.
Once your order is submitted our website will display a confirmation message to acknowledge your order. You should also receive an automated email confirmation which includes details of all the items you have ordered.

We endeavour to give up-to-date stock availability information on the product specific pages of our website. An indication should be given as to the anticipated delivery time of new stock if items aren’t currently available. Please Contact Us if you have any difficulty finding the stock information you require.

Delivery to UK mainland addresses is free as part of our free delivery and assembly service. However delivery to all the postcodes covering Scotland and Scottish borders, Wales and South West may incur a surcharge (and therefore do not qualify for free delivery offers). For such orders it is best to obtain a delivery quotation prior to placing your order so that we can provide an accurate price for your delivery. If you place your order without a quotation then we will contact you to confirm the surcharge before processing your order. We do not currently deliver outside of the UK Mainland.

As the majority of our products are made to order, delivery will be undertaken once an order has been manufactured and delivered to our warehouse.  When your order is ready for delivery, either a member of our inhouse delivery team or our delivery partners will get in touch to arrange delivery. 

We endeavour to deliver within 7-10 working days.    We will always contact you to arrange a delivery date.  Where delivery is not possible within these estimated timescales we will advise you as soon as possible to let you know. Exceptions to this are 

Scotland: Usually 7-21 working days

Wales: Usually 7 -14 working days

EX,TA,TQ,PL,TR: Usually 7-14 working days

If you have specific delivery requirements please contact our office to discuss before you place your order.  Delivery will usually take place on a weekday, and whilst we do our best to accommodate specific delivery requests, we cannot guarantee delivery will reach you on a requested date

It may be possible to arrange delivery on a Saturday, but this is not guaranteed and subject to availability with our delivery partners. A delivery surcharge may apply for Saturday deliveries, our delivery partners will confirm prices and charge directly with you when arranging delivery.
Unfortunately we are unable to store items for you, if a delivery date is declined your order may be subject to storage charges of £50 per week. Our delivery partners will advise you at the time and take payment directly if required.
We can arrange an access check if you are unsure a product will fit into your property. If an onsite visit is not available then it can be arranged remotely. Please get in touch with us for further information.

Yes – as long as the fabric you have is fire retardant and suitable for upholstered furniture. Just let us know which product you’re interested in and we can let you know how many metres you’d need. We also have a plethora of different textures and colours if our standard samples aren’t quite what you’re looking for – if you’d like to receive alternative samples just drop an email to [email protected]. Please note, this would be classed as a bespoke order and not covered under our usual returns policy.

If you need to make some tweaks to our existing range we can certainly accommodate this for you. In the past we have changed the length, seat depths, changed leg colours, added contrasting piping to name a few – if you’d like to enquire just get in touch and we can go from there.
All prices shown on our website include VAT at the prevailing rate.
No, all products must be paid for prior to despatch.
